Another week of August gone in a flash.
These last few days of summer are rapidly approaching & it’s seriously bumming me out. I’m not ready for fall, I’m not ready for cold weather & I don’t even want to think about the upcoming holidays. I want to stay in my little bubble of sunshine & pool time.
I’m really trying to up my fitness game going into the fall/winter season.
At the beginning of quarantine, I was so disciplined & then it all kind of went to shit during the summer! I started doing yoga classes on Saturday at the SoNo Collection (it’s free- check it out) & so happy to hear they will be continuing throughout the fall. In addition to yoga, I also added in bootcamp classes with Xtreme Pulse Fitness (all virtual) & barre classes with Greenwich Barre Studio (also virtual)- use promo code VNEW to get an unlimited monthly membership for $49. And of course my beloved Tone It Up app on days when I need to switch it up.
Varying my workouts has been a game changer!
I no longer feel bored doing the same old routines. Also, taking long walks in the morning has been great cardio. I absolutely hate cardio, but walking has been great. It’s a chance to clear your mind, listen to some music or a podcast & get those steps in. I feel so accomplished after a 4 mile walk!
On another note, loving the new Dudley Stephens sweatshirts. Great roomy fit and of course so soft. Just ordered this one. Pricey? Yes. But it’s made from recycled plastic bottles & love the sustainability story behind the product. And they’re just so damn cozy.
Not sure if I spoke about this before, but I love using my Five Minute Journal. It’s a great way to start your day with some gratitude & positivity.
Since starting my new job, I’m back immersed in all things interior design & LOVING IT! Current textile obsession: Rebecca Atwood. I have her books & her prints are just so cute. My goal is to have either her textiles or wallpaper in my home one day- love all her products!
Some new non-toxic nail polish I’ve been wanting to try out. Think I’m going to pull the trigger & finally purchase a bottle.
Slacking in the kitchen yet AGAIN!
Since it’s been kinda hot here, so the last thing I want to do is be in the kitchen. But here are some great recipes I found & will be adding to my Pinterest!
