Happy Friday!
This week has been a great week. The weather has been great (a little hot) but at least it’s not winter weather! Am I right?
All this week I’ve been sharing my tablescape project that I worked on with my talented besties- William Lyon & Alicia Tiberio from Dorset & Pond. In case you missed it, check out both blog posts HERE. This post also includes my recipe for the Jerk Chicken Cobb Salad pictured above!
After purchasing the new Magnolia Cookbook by Joanna Gaines last week, I’ve been inspired to get back in the kitchen. I made the Chicken Piccata recipe from her book as well as the Shrimp over Linguine. They were both excellent, easy to make & didn’t take too much time! She’s got a great combination of recipes in this book & a whole section dedicated to baking bread! Definitely recommend this cookbook!
I just finished the book- The Unhoneymooners– SOOO good! It only took a few days to read it & couldn’t put it down. It’s a fun beach read that had me laughing out loud at some points. A full review will come next week in my July Reading post, but if you’re looking for a cute love story then check this book out.
Because of the humid weather here lately, I’ve been showering twice a day!
One of my favorite products to help make me feel super clean has been the Charcoal Bar Soap from BeautyCounter. I am SO not a bar soap person however the charcoal soap doesn’t leave a sticky film on my skin. The charcoal powder deep cleans & detoxifies your skin therefore creating a brighter complexion. It’s also safe to use on your face. Even Alex loves this soap & uses it all the time!
Lastly, just got my Five Minute Journal in the mail! It’s a daily gratitude journal that helps you shift into a positive mindset every morning. The daily prompts are helpful in setting intentions & goals as to how to make your day successful & happy. Can’t wait to get started!
