The heat this week & past weekend was SO brutal.
It made me completely stay away from using my oven. Instead we stuck to salads, grilled chicken dishes & good old pasta with meatballs. I’m still perfecting my meatball recipe- but it will be coming to the blog shortly. I didn’t have time to make sauce, so I used the Frescobene frozen pasta sauces I previously shared on here. The Sausage Ragu sauce with the meatballs was AMAZING! PS they are still offering 30% off on your orders- try some today!
I did purchase Joanna Gaines’ new cookbook- Magnolia Table Volume 2: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering. So get excited for some new recipes that I’ll be sharing from her. I FINALLY feel a bit more motivated to get back to experimenting in the kitchen. As long as the humidity stays away!
Speaking of food- here are two snacks that I’m obsessed with.
The first is Ithaca Hummus. I got this at Stop & Shop last week (I prefer to do all my shopping here vs. fancy overpriced Whole Foods) & am obsessed. I got their classic hummus which has hints of lemon & garlic. It’s seriously the best hummus I’ve ever had.
Also, my new favorite dessert is a pitted date filled with almond butter & a few chocolate chips. I’ve totally started to embrace dates (I put them in my Coffee Smoothies) and can’t believe I’ve waited this long to try them.
New favorite accessory- these cute rattan headbands.
In the market for some original art? Please check out The Cider House Studio (art by Nancy Sharpe). She’s an amazing local artist here in CT & she recently gifted me a piece that is so me! It has all my favorite colors in it- blues, pinks & greys. Nancy is seriously so sweet & so talented- definitely go check out her work & follow her on Insta!
Check back next week for some fun recipes, gorgeous outdoor entertaining inspiration & some cute beachwear looks!
