Happy October!
I’m so not a Halloween person & don’t like scary movies or shows….but I love that October is typically a cozy, wrap yourself up in a blanket kind of month. Bring on the fire pit nights & comfy, cozy clothes!
Speaking of blankets- I just got this flannel blanket & am OBSESSED with it. My friend William, interior design extraordinaire found this & it’s just so on brand that I couldn’t resist. Perfect for a night by the fire or snuggled up watching a movie (preferably Hocus Pocus).
In addition to a warm blanket on chilly nights, I’m looking forward to making all the comfort food & baked goods this season.
Yes I know I said I would have tons of new fall baking recipes, but I’m super behind. I promise you should see some new food from me in the next few weeks. Chili, braised short ribs & baked Mac & Cheese are some cold weather recipes that I love to make this time of year. I found this Butternut Squash & Carrot Soup recipe that looks AMAZING! Cannot wait to experiment in the kitchen.
Speaking of fall recipes- are you team Pumpkin or no? I LOVE me some pumpkin baked goods, but I think pumpkin flavored foods have gotten out of control. Trader Joe’s pumpkin products have expanded this year- I’m sorry but I can’t get behind pumpkin flavored tortilla chips! WTF! I did buy their pumpkin spice coffee (#basicbitch) and Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark (it’s basically crack).
Ok now onto skincare- my favorite resurfacing peel has been saving my skin. If you have issues with texture, dark spots or dull skin- this will be your best friend!
CBD chapstick– this looks interesting & worth a try!
Just got these new washcloths– so cute! Weezie Towels are great for taking your makeup off…plus they have the cutest guest towels.
One of my favorite candles ever- Ellsworth by Preston Konrad. It smells absolutely divine! And makes a great gift.
What do we feel about the new iPhone update where you can customize your home screen? If I have time, I might do this!
Working from home? Here’s a good article on the rules that you are allowed to break!
October is a great month to read some thrillers. Here’s a list of some underrated books to get on.
Oh and one last thing…..register to vote!!! It’s super easy & only takes a few minutes. We need more people to get their butt to the polls now more than ever!
