I had the pleasure of testing out one of Nefaire’s at home facial mask & it is coming in handy during this quarantine.
A little backstory on Nefaire, a local skincare brand & business in Westport, CT that specializes in creating healthy skin from the inside out. The highly trained therapists at Nefaire treat your skin with all natural products & also hone in on a wide range of factors to help treat your skin such as diet, regimen, products, prescriptions & more! Once this quarantine is over, pop in for a facial or massage!
Nefaire created an at home facial line (consisting of three different masks) so you can take a bit of their natural skincare approach home with you. I was kindly gifted the Skinfood 1.2 Hydration mask, which is great for dry or dehydrated skin. The other masks available are the Oil Control Mask and the Anti-Aging Mask.
Each mask is a powder like consistency which you mix together with water or liquid of your choice.
My mask contains an oatmeal base (perfect for drawing moisture to the skin) with other natural ingredients such as spirulina, aloe vera (helps reduce redness) and kaolin clay (a gentle exfoliator).
The best part about these masks is you can experiment with ingredients you have in your pantry! For example- I made this batch with green tea. Mix 1 tsp of the mask with 1 tsp of cooled green tea for a calming effect (I find that this amount gives me enough for 2 masks- keep in the fridge for 2-3 days). Leave on for 5-8 minutes then rinse with warm water.
If you are feeling a bit dry, you can mix in raw organic honey for extra hydration. Experiment with what’s in your pantry- it’s so fun! I’m going to make it with chamomile tea next for an even more calming feel.
After using the mask three times, I seriously feel as if my skin is a bit brighter, less dry & has more of a glow to it. The texture of my skin has also improved! I would suggest using this mask at least twice a week for best results.
I’m also really appreciating the tiny pamphlet that comes with the mask.
You are given different tips as to why your skin is dry. Plus recommendations on what foods you should/should not eat. Also suggestions on a good step by step skincare regimen guide plus what lifestyle factors might be effecting your skin.
There’s another reason why you should try out this amazing at home mask. 15% of the profits of all online sales (masks included) will be put in a fund to help ease the financial burden their staff is facing.
The owners of Nefaire will personally match the amount raised. The at home facial mask is only $28 (and you get easily 3-4 months supply with one bag). Now is the time to come together.
