Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be limited to significant others. Throw a Galentine’s Day Brunch for all your girlfriends.
Trust me, I LOVE love. I love to celebrate love. But I don’t think that celebration should be just for you & your partner. Celebrate the other people in your life that you love- like your gals (hence the name- Galentine’s)! Get you girls together to throw a fun potluck brunch. Everyone can bring a side dish or appetizer, but as the host you should make the main course & provide beverages.

One dish I love to serve at brunch is quiche. There are so many different variations & flavors that you can experiment with. I’m sharing one of my favorite quiche recipes below! You can find more brunch recipe ideas HERE.
Another great girl’s day brunch idea- create a signature drink or area for a bar.
Make a fun mimosa or make prosecco a bit fancier by adding a few raspberries to each glass. Create a small bar set-up somewhere away from the food. Make sure you line up all your glasses, have ice on hand in a cute bucket & small cocktail napkins.

One thing you don’t want to forget is creating a fun tablescape. I love pairing different colors & for textures when it comes to the table linens and dinnerware. I wanted this table to feel fun, colorful with a touch of whimsy. The most important part of a tablescape- the floral arrangement.
I partnered with Hedge Floral & they made the most incredible floral arrangements.
Hedge Floral is a female owned business (founded by Christine & Sarah) located in Fairfield County. Both woman have extensive backgrounds in floral/landscape design & interior design. They incorporate florals from their home gardens as well as locally sourced greenery and florals from flower farmers in CT. I think they are experts in creating a rustic chic look- the twig detail around the vases is really special. PS- they do florals for weddings & special events as well! Contact Hedge Floral for pricing.
Sarah & Christine specialize in seasonal flowers & created these stunning arrangements with Valentine’s Day in mind. Each arrangement is nature inspired & has a whimsical feel to it. The smaller arrangements make perfect gifts for your guests to take home! Think of smaller arrangements as a two for one- line them down the center of your table (with some tealights spread out in between) & they can double as a party favor!

Two more ideas for party favors- fill a small mason jar with some candy! Who doesn’t love some sweet treats to take home. Another fun idea is to buy a book for each guest (sorry I’m obsessed with books & I think they make great gifts). Find a fun book that speaks to each guest’s personalities. Each are four very different options that are fun to gift to girlfriends:
- The Little Dictionary of Fashion (for the fashionista)
- The Essentials of Fabulous (for the perfectionist)
- Drink Pink: A Celebration of Rose (for the wine lover)
- The Universe Has Your Back (for the spiritual guru)
Unfortunately this year I won’t be able to spend Valentine’s Day with my girls- most either just had a baby or are ready to pop any moment! Can’t get together- send a handwritten note or card! Yes, snail mail is still a thing people. I LOVE getting mail and who doesn’t love a cute card.
Bottom line, Valentine’s Day isn’t just about telling your significant other who much they mean to you. To me, it’s about telling ALL the people you hold near & dear to your heart how much they mean to you.
