I had the pleasure of being invited to Greenhouse Beauty’s blogger brunch a few weeks ago.
Some of you may know I have been in love with this charming skincare & beauty store since I first visited last fall. Greenhouse Beauty, owned by Rachel Postovoit, opened this past summer in Old Lyme, CT. All products carried in Rachel’s store are non-toxic & green….and there are a TON of products. From shampoo to eye cream to even deoderant, Greenhouse Beauty has it all.
Rachel’s mission is to provide healthy, green beauty products to all. Whatever your skin issues or questions are, Rachel is there to guide you to the right products. She has been a guiding light in my skincare journey & has answered numerous questions & concerns of mine. Rachel works tirelessly to provide products with the cleanest, healthiest ingredients….and not to mention beautifully packaged products. Feeling beautiful in your own skin is one of the main focuses of Greenhouse Beauty. And from first hand experience, you will feel that & so much more.

As I’ve said, since being introduced to this blissful beauty haven last fall, I’ve been obsessed.
Needless to say I was thrilled to be invited to Rachel’s blogger brunch & jumped at the chance to learn more about the green beauty world. During the brunch, I met an amazing group of bloggers, influencers, marketing experts, stylists & green beauty advocates. We all had a common thread- we believed in cleaner, safer skincare/beauty products & wellness in general. Not to mention the brunch was potluck style & the dishes brought were absolutely fabulous & delicious!! (You know I had to make my Monkey Bread!)

During brunch, Rachel generously gifted us with swag bags full of amazing products from green beauty brands both large & small. We were able to ask questions about the product as Rachel explained how to use each one (most of the products are multi-taskers, my favorite!). All ingredients used in these products are clean & mostly plant based. No toxic chemicals here!

The generous beauty products gifted included:
- Dr. Alkaitis Organic Beautifying Mask
- Kahina Giving Beauty Moroccan Beldi Soap
- Ursa Major Golden Hour Recovery Cream
- Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Creme
- Drew’s Honeybees Vanilla Lip Balm
- Drew’s Honeybees Rosebud Skin Balm
- Hynt Beauty Lipstick & Blush
- Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash
- Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil
- Intelligent Nutrients Renewing Oil Serum
Not only was this brunch informative & left me eager to continue my wellness journey, the connections made with these ladies were invaluable. It was refreshing to be able to speak to other women who are understand the daily struggles with being a blogger, working a 9-5 & still have some semblance of a social life. Some of these women were mothers with the added stress of juggling toddlers while trying to build a brand. Having other like minded individuals to bounce ideas off of, hear their struggles & victories and to just simply have some girl time was both inspiring and motivating.
Non-toxic living seems foreign to some people & unnatainable.
I can assure you, it’s not. Rachel also makes it easy for you. All the research is already done for you. All the products carried at Greenhouse Beauty are personally vetted by Rachel & only the finest, healthiest ingredients can be found in her store. I also love the fact that Rachel promotes & supports locally made products. Two of the items gifted to us were from Drew’s Honeybees, lip balm & skin balm made right here in CT. Only natural ingredients are used in these hydrating products & a portion of the proceeds goes towards honeybee research! I have been putting the skin balm on my feet & hands every night- total game changer! My cracked heels are thanking me!
I will continue to stand behind the fact that making small switches in your skincare & beauty products will make a HUGE difference in your life.
Have I switched out every product I use to a non-toxic alternative? No. But I am slowly working towards that goal. In fact, I picked up a new foundation while at Greenhouse Beauty & cannot be happier! I bought the Gressa Skin Minamilist Corrective Serum Foundation. I needed a full coverage foundation that was also blendable & didn’t feel heavy. This foundation is that & more. You only need 1-2 drops for a full face & I love that this foundation has a serum consistency. It’s easy to blend & my skin feels like it’s getting an added layer of hydration. I will do product reviews on all products once I have used them for a few more weeks! So far my skin has never looked healthier & is absolutely glowing.
Thank you Rachel for inviting me to partake in this amazing brunch & for introducing me to this inspiring group of women. If you are ever in the CT area, make a stop at Greenhouse Beauty. Rachel’s store is warm & welcoming and will make you feel right at home. If you can’t make it to the store- you can always shop online. Need help deciding what’s best for you- Rachel is one call/email away. Helping others with their beauty questions is a passion of Rachel’s & she will not steer you wrong.
