After an almost month long hiatus, I’m back!! October was long & busy but I’m ready to get back on track with posting.
I was able to get in a few good reads the past two months! Two books were on my list to read forever. I don’t know why it took me so long to read Daisy Jones & The Six- it’s probably one of the best books I’ve ever read.
All four books I read were pretty light & easy. I don’t know about you but I can’t take anything heavy or dramatic at the moment!
What are you reading at the moment? I’m always looking for book recommendations. Let me know below in the comments!
Daisy Jones & The Six- Taylor Jenkins Reid
If you haven’t read this book, stop what you’re doing and go get a copy now. I love the way this book was written. It’s almost written like a behind the scenes music documentary & from all the band member’s point of view. This story is about the rise & fall of an iconic 1970s rock band. Daisy- the lead singer- is your typical self-centered, self-sabotaging drug addict rockstar. The drama between all the members of the band is so entertaining.
You Are Not Alone- Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen
Ok so I didn’t love this book, but it definitely held my attention. This book was like the ultimate mind fuck. Shay thinks she meets some women who are bound to be her new best friends. They seem too good to be true! Shay finds herself in a completely screwed up situation where these new “friends” are setting her up for murder. If you are looking for a twisty thriller- this is a book you would definitely be interested in.
Postscript- Cecelia Ahern
Postscript is the sequel to PS I Love You! To follow Holly’s journey seven years after her husband’s death, cozy up and read this book. I really hope they make this book into a movie like they did the first one.
Get A Life, Chloe Brown- Talia Hibbert
I LOVED this book. It was such a refreshing love story about opposites attracting, being vulnerable & being true to yourself. This novel is witty, well-written & just damn adorable. I cannot wait to read her novel that came out this past summer- Take a Hint, Dani Brown.
