The Last Mrs. Parrish was a great book with a plot twist I didn’t see coming. I knew there must be some sort of surprise at the end because the friendship between Mrs. Parrish and Amber seemed pretty unlikely.
A quick summary of the book in was you haven’t read it: in an affluent town in Fairfield County, CT (pretty much one of the big reasons I picked this book up!)- Amber befriends Daphne (a wife of a wealthy real estate mogul) and they bond over both having lost their sisters to cystic fibrosis. As the story unfolds, it turns out Amber is a big fat liar and just wants to take Daphne’s place as Mrs. Parrish. She infiltrates herself into their lives & quickly becomes Daphne’s right hand and best friend. Little does she know, Daphne also has a plan up her sleeve to get of her abusive, loveless marriage. There are lots of twists & turns and once you are enthralled in this book, you can’t put it down.
This book makes you really think- are there people in this world like Amber? People so evil & conniving who actually think this way & purposely hurt people? Makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
This debut thriller by Liv Constantine (aka the sisters Lynne & Valerie Constantine) is utterly delicious & addictive. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what these sisters write next!
