I’m always looking for easy dips or spreads to put out when entertaining. This black bean hummus can be ready to serve in under 10 minutes!
I’m a huge hummus fan & love trying out new flavors and ways of making it. I especially love this recipe because it doesn’t contain tahini (which let’s be honest most of us don’t keep this ingredient on hand). This recipe is also gluten free, dairy free & vegan.
Having a few appetizer recipes that are vegan is super important to me because I have a vegan friend (shout out to David) who I hang out with all the time & I always want to make sure he has something to eat. I can’t imagine what it feels like to go to a party or gathering & not to be able to eat anything, so making him feel included is important to me. Everyone in my friend group makes and effort to make vegan friendly meals- which always taste phenomenal.
Back to the hummus- it make not look super pretty, but it’s very tasty & filling! I would also use this on a sandwich or wrap in place of mayonnaise. Or in tacos as a substitute for refried beans. You can also freeze this to use at a later date.
