As you know, I love a good bargain shopping find & I have to say I’ve been having a lot of luck with fashion from Amazon the past few months. I bought this dress in the summer, but found a few ways to wear it during fall.
After my NO SHOP September/October is over, I will be beefing up my fall wardrobe for sure. The majority of the pieces shown in these outfits are items I’ve had in my closet for years. Not only is shopping your closet the first place to start when analyzing your wardrobe, it’s also a money saver! See what you already have first before investing in new pieces. This fall, I do want to invest in a few quality pieces from local boutiques (especially women owned businesses) BUT I will also be on the hunt for bargains & dupes of higher end pieces. I think this Amazon Dress fully embodies that theory. Yes it’s a lightweight summer maxi dress, but adding layers can make it worthy for Fall weather! Plus it comes in over 20 different colors & is only $23.99.
LOOK #1

Pair this Amazon dress with a denim jacket (or military jacket would be cute) & some patterned mules. This outfit works for a laid back job setting, a night out with girlfriends or add a hat & shades for a fun weekend look. You can make this look feel a bit more fall with a felt hat (mine is straw but I think is neutral enough to be able to wear in the cooler seasons). Don’t forget to layer on the jewelry. I’m really into long necklaces at the moment or chunky stacks of bracelets.
LOOK #2
For my take on a more work appropriate look with this dress- add a cardigan, booties & layer on some jewelry. A chunky cable knit cardigan would warm this dress up & any ankle booties would look super cute with the slits in this dress. By the way, I’m wearing a size Medium in this dress. It’s a bit snug in the stomach area, but I feel like if I went up a size the dress would be too long on me. I know the slits looks a bit high, but I promise you they’re not. Also- my earrings are hand cut & painted leather made by a local woman in CT, Pink Moon by Brooke. Very cute, comes in a ton of colors & very affordable.

LOOK#3
Now for a more casual take on this dress- pair it with a sweater & some sneakers. I love how versatile this dress can be! Add a chunky sweater & it is now a skirt. My perfect vision for this dress would be a cropped, boxy over sized chunky turtleneck sweater with white sneakers. Because I haven’t been shopping, this is what I came up with based on what I had in my closet. It’s very me (sticking to my love of navy & grey….and stripes of course). I knotted the front of the dress just to show you a different way to wear it. And pop on a headband to elevate the look a bit (or because you haven’t washed your hair wish is always the case with me!).
