As the new year is in full swing, most people feel the need to make big resolutions or changes to your life. I agree with the fact that the new year is a fresh start, a time to reflect on the past year and change anything that wasn’t working for you. But I also think that sometimes people make big resolutions that are some what unattainable (I’m guilty of this too). That is why this year I want to make a list of small attainable goals, that will help in reaching some big dreams. These goals are both personal & professional.
Grow my blog by 10 subscribers a month.
I know this might seem like a super small amount, but honestly it takes time to grow a following. My blog has been live for not even 3 months now. It’s a slow process, but celebrating all the small victories is something I look forward to.
Plan my content more wisely by trying to stay a week ahead of the game.
There are weeks when I have all my social media posts planned out ahead of time & blog posts written in advance. There are weeks when I’m scrambling to get everything written & published at the last minute. I want to use my new Simplified Planner as a tool to help me stay on track. I want to make a habit of having all my content planned & written at least a week in advance. And part of that is carving out time every week & working more efficiently. Work/life balance is going to be a big focus of mine this year!

Exercise at least 3 times a week.
I know this seems like your typical “New Years resolution” but this is a big one for me. Every year I say I want to lose weight but this is the first year where I’m actually serious about it. I want to feel healthy again & get back in shape. I think committing to at least 3 times a week is an attainable goal. Waking up early before work hasn’t been too bad & is probably the best time for me to work out. At home workouts are what I’m going to start with & then maybe work my way up to a gym membership later in the year! I have a few vacations planned this year & I fully intend to walking the beach confidently in my bikini!
Learn to say “NO” more.
I feel like I always feel pressured to say “Yes” to everything asked of me. This year, I’m going to really just say yes to the things I want to do. No more wasting my time doing activities that I really have no interest in. I want to be smart with my time & really focus on the things that make me happy.
Be present.
It’s so easy for me to get wrapped up in social media, always being on my phone and the need to work overtime on my blog. But I want to be more mindful of enjoying the moment & being present for life. Instead of worrying if I got the right shot while out with friends or making sure I post to Instagram at the same time every day- I want to remind myself to put my phone down & enjoy what’s going on around me. Be in the moment.
Meal prep.
Sometimes I’m great at planning my meals for the week & getting everything prepped on Sundays. And some weeks takeout is my savior! Getting into a weekly routine where I go grocery shopping for a week’s worth of meals instead of making multiple trips throughout the week would be heaven for me! I think this ties into using my time wisely & being more organized! Organization is really a key concept for me this year!

Ask for help more often.
I feel like this a major thing that all women should work on. Women, more then men have more responsibilities- especially when it comes to the home, raising children & just keeping everyone’s life in order. We tend to take it all on & feel the need to do everything by ourselves. We want to do everything & do everything well. Well sometimes it’s impossible. We all need help every now & again. This year, I will not be afraid to ask for help.
I hope everyone takes some time to make some goals for 2019 & stick to them! Picture how you want this year to play out for you & speak your dreams into existence. I want to work on manifesting my goals this year and to putting in the hard work to achieve these dreams. I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store for each & every once of us!!
